Gagan Ahluwalia is what makes GlobalStep
unique.
He is a former Corporate Finance and Litigation
Support Partner in the US Firm of
PricewaterhouseCoopers and a Senior Managing Director
in its publicly traded successor firm FTI Consulting.
Prior to his eighteen year US professional career
Gagan was a Chartered Accountant in India.
As Gagan so puts it:
"I understand the needs of my clients. Indeed I
have lived and breathed in that environment for the
last eight years prior to founding GlobalStep.
I fully understand the needs of my clients and I
have an excellent technical grasp of the services that
GlobalStep offers.
Having grown up and worked in India, I completely
appreciate the capability of the people we hire and
what needs to be done to bridge the gap between that
capability and our client needs. I know best how this
is done, because I have personally bridged that gap
most successfully over the last eighteen years."
Prior to holding leadership positions at
PricewaterhouseCoopers and its successor firm, Gagan
held senior finance and operational positions in the
high tech industry.
During his US career, Gagan has worked closely with
CPA firms, law firms, investment banks, private equity
and hedge funds. He has directed consulting
engagements in Europe and Asia in addition to the
United States.
Gagan has an in-depth understanding of how to
integrate off-shore professionals with the existing
service delivery capability of Accounting, Legal and
Financial Firms.
Prior to moving to the US, Gagan pioneered the
concept of outsourced data processing for business
applications. This is where he got his formative
experience in process design and integrating external
capability into an organization's internal processes.
Gagan is an accomplished speaker and a published
author. He is one of the world's foremost experts in
the design and implementation of off-shore sourcing
strategies for creating competitive advantage. He has
been a thought leader in the successful application of
off-shore strategies in other industries prior to
applying the paradigm to professional service firms
and creating GlobalStep.
He received his MBA in strategy from the University
of Washington in Seattle and his executive education
includes training with both General Motors and Ford
Motor Company.
Gagan has lived in Dallas, Texas with his family for
the last 8 years. Prior to that, he has lived in New
York and Southern California and the Pacific
Northwest. |
